LSGurdin Consulting BCBA Series: Transforming School Practices - Solutions for Shifting from Compliance to Engagement
An insightful session focused on helping school BCBAs shift teams away from traditional compliance-driven approaches to more collaborative and engagement-oriented strategies throughout the school day. The conversation has moved towards designing compassionate interventions that are assent-based, kind, and supportive, fostering an environment where students and staff actively engage with each other, enhancing motivation and participation in the learning process. The presentation reviews research on assent-based, compassionate interventions, discusses the challenges school BCBAs face during the transition from compliance to engagement-based behavior plans, and offers practical solutions to navigate these challenges. Offered in partnership with LSGurdin Consulting; BCBAs are eligible for 1.5 CEUs through LSGurdin Consulting.

This session presents a quality-of-life framework for supporting autistic learners, organized through a Multi-Tiered System of Supports.
