Part of the 6th Annual October Campus Safety & Security Series hosted by the editors of Security Executive, Security Business, and Locksmith Ledger magazines, in partnership with American School & University and the Partner Alliance for Safer Schools (PASS). Basic access-control weaknesses (unlocked doors, uncontrolled visitors, tailgating) remain leading contributors to campus vulnerability. Focusing on everyday vulnerabilities, front-door screening, visitor workflows, badge programs, and managing shared spaces, this session teaches practical audits, low-cost fixes, and technology-assisted solutions for both new construction and retrofits. Attendees will see how policy, design, and technology work together to create an effective access-control posture. A certificate of attendance will be offered.
