Secondary-level humanities teachers in Texas schools

Humanities Texas webinar on strategies for teaching and generating student interest in Charles Dickens's Great Expectations. Participants will explore ways to help students become better close readers of novels while learning about nineteenth-century culture and society, with particular attention to Dickens's use of the coming-of-age narrative. Content is aligned with the TEKS and emphasizes effective pedagogical strategies. Free for teachers and their schools; participants receive CPE credit and curricular materials. Led by Allen MacDuffie (The University of Texas at Austin). Open to secondary-level humanities teachers in Texas schools.
