State of the Field: Navigating New Learning Ecologies. As educators face tremendous technological, political and climatic change, EdPrepLab’s 2026 Virtual Forum explores the importance of centering meaningful human relationships as the enduring core of effective teaching, learning and leading. Learn how EdPrepLab-affiliated programs are supporting candidates to navigate new learning ecologies, including shifting policy contexts, artificial intelligence and partnering with local communities. The event is for EdPrepLab members and the wider public. Attendees will hear opening remarks from leaders at the Learning Policy Institute and Bank Street College of Education; engage with a panel of EdPrepLab-affiliated candidates and alumni about preparation experiences; connect in breakout rooms to explore the science of learning and development; and preview 2026–2027 EdPrepLab programming, including seed grant proposals and site-visit travel support. Speakers: Tracy Fray-Oliver, Vice President, Bank Street Education Center; Elena Silva, President and CEO, Learning Policy Institute. Wednesday, October 28, 2026, 2:30–5:00 PM Eastern Time. Online.
