Dr. Alexa Sorden

Dr. Alexa Sorden is the founding principal of the top-ranking Leaders of Excellence, Advocacy, and Discovery (LEAD) School in the Bronx. A teacher, reading specialist, and administrator, she received the 2017 Ryan Award for Transformative School Leader and the 2020 National Center for Urban Schools award for Best Urban School Transformation, and was selected for the 2018 Cahn Fellows Program for Distinguished Principals at Teachers College, Columbia University.
